Category Manager (Beauty/Confectionary)

An international multi-category retail client is seeking an experienced Category Management Manager to join its Kuala Lumpur office.

Reporting to the Country Head, this role will focus on driving growth in beauty/personal care (skincare, makeup, fragrances) and confectionery/food categories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to enhance product offerings, pricing, and profitability
• Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and present insights to the Asia regional team
• Collaborate with regional marketing and inventory teams to align promotions and stock strategies
• Build and manage strong vendor relationships for strategic partnerships
• Lead and mentor the category management team while providing guidance to inventory teams
• Monitor performance metrics and refine strategies based on data-driven insights

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of category management experience in beauty and/or food/confectionery within the retail industry
• Strong analytical skills with a results-driven approach
• Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
