Data Engineer (Trading Technology)- Banking- Contract- 70k P/M

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with quants and traders to design, develop, deploy, and support innovative data science solutions.
• Build flexible and widely used APIs for core data and functionality.
• Analyze and optimize performance of large data workloads using compute clusters.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and tools in the data and analytics domain.
• Provide support and design advice to users of the cross-asset platform.
• Assist strategists and other stakeholders in migrating financial assets, valuation models, and data pipelines to the platform.
• Communicate effectively across regions and functions to drive collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or software engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and code development skills.
• Interest in researching, learning, and implementing new data and analytics technologies.
• Experience with enterprise-level software development practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both local and global teams.
• Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and compute clusters.
• Knowledge of financial assets, trading platforms, or valuation models.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
