Procurement Engineer Team Lead (Chinese Speaking)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Engineer Team Lead to oversee sourcing and purchasing activities with a focus on China-based suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement expertise, particularly in civil construction, electrical, and mechanical components. This role requires fluency in Chinese to effectively communicate with suppliers and manage procurement processes in China. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supplier selection, cost negotiation, and ensuring supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing and purchasing activities for civil construction, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective procurement in China
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to maintain compliance and performance standards.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services while optimizing costs.
• Manage contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and supplier terms.
• Work closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with business objectives.
• Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to develop cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years sourcing suppliers in China.
• Good command in Chinese (Mandarin) is required for effective supplier communication.
• Experience in civil construction, electrical, and mechanical procurement is a strong advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Good command in English
